Li Abstract Sequences with some desired correlation properties are useful in communication and radar systems for applications in identification, synchronization, ranging and interference mitigation. This paper put forwards a construction of zero correlation zone (ZCZ) sequence sets with flexible ZCZ based on interleaving technique. Different to traditional interleaving, it designs shift sequences according to the mathematical relations between the length of initial sequence, the length of shift sequence and the ZCZ of the resultant sequence set rather than only considering the length of the initial sequence and the length of the shift sequence. This paper analyses and proves the two shift sequences are equal when they simultaneously satisfy both of the different mathematical relations. This construction enriches quantity of ZCZ sequence sets and is meaningful in the application of quasi-synchronous code division multiple address (QS CDMA) communications. Zero correlation zone sequence set with inter-group orthogonal and inter-subgroup complementary properties

In this paper, a novel method for constructing complementary sequence set with zero correlation zone (ZCZ) is presented by interleaving and combining three orthogonal matrices. The constructed set can be divided into multiple sequence groups and each sequence group can be further divided into multiple sequence subgroups. In addition to ZCZ properties of sequences from the same sequence subgroup...

Quasi-Optimal and Optimal Generalized Mutually Orthogonal ZCZ Sequence Sets Based on an Interleaving Technique

The present paper proposes methods for constructing quasi-optimal or optimal generalized mutually orthogonal zerocorrelation zone (GMO-ZCZ) sequence sets. Zero-correlation zone (ZCZ) sequence sets have been studied as spreading sequences for approximately synchronized code-division multiple-access (ASCDMA) systems. A mutually orthogonal ZCZ (MO-ZCZ) sequence set is composed of several small ZCZ...

Mutually orthogonal sets of ZCZ sequences - Electronics Letters

Introduction: In a synchronous CDMA system, orthogonal spreading sequences can be employed to eliminate multiple access interference. However, in a wireless channel, orthogonality among different users tends to diminish because of inter-path interference. To reduce the interference among users in a multipath environment or in an approximately synchronised CDMA [1] environment, the concept of ge...

Ternary Zero Correlation Zone Sequences for Multiple Code UWB

We construct a ternary zero correlation zone (ZCZ) sequence set with both periodic and aperiodic ZCZ based on mutually orthogonal complementary sets. A multicode UWB system based on ternary ZCZ sequence sets can adapt its data rate by changing the size of the code set to satisfy different data rate requirements without compromising its BER performance. Multicode systems based on constructed ZCZ...

A ternary zero-correlation zone sequence sets construction procedure

In the present paper, we propose ternary zero-correlation zone (ZCZ) sequence sets with ideal correlation properties for phase shifts within the ZCZ. The proposed ternary ZCZ sequence sets can be constructed from binary mutually orthogonal complementary sets (MOCS) and ternary perfect sequences.
